About Us

The pool was built in 1933 as part of the school whose ground it occupies. King Edward V11 School Swimming Pool Trust was formed in 1993 to keep the pool from closing. The pool is run entirely by the trust and is now in its 14th successful year.

The pool is a thirty three and a third yard pool with two shallow ends and the deepest part of the pool is 1.37m

It is not entirely suited for disabled access but adaptations now allow limited access to the building. The purchase of 'Stairmate Standard' allows wheelchairs to climb the entrance and changing room steps. There are wider toilets and shower facilities with fitted handrails and easy access steps to the pool available on request.
